We will be having Open House at Blythe Bower on Tuesday, Sept. 13th at 6:00. Please come and join us and check out our classroom and see some of your child's work on display.
Yesterday a flyer came home asking for you to join the PTO. Please consider joining. The money collected goes to support the school. It is only $3.00 per family.
Continue to work with your child on the basic math facts. We are working hard on them as much as we can in the classroom, but need your assistance at home, too.

Off to a Great Start
Overall we are off to a great start this year. Most of the students are being faithful about doing and bringing in their homework. Most of the students are very attentive in class. A few are struggling with settling back into the school day, but hopefully will start to settle down soon. We will start having timed test in math on the basic addition and subtraction facts very soon. Please work with your child on learning these facts. They should be able to do around 35 in 3 minutes of mixed basic addition and subtraction facts. Remember Parent Night on Tuesday, August 16th at 6:00 in our classroom.

Welcome to a New School Year
Welcome to the school yeat 2011-2012. It will be an amazing adventure for your child. He/She will learn many new things and a new world of learning will open up to him/her. The pace is much faster in 2nd grade than 1st grade, but we will start of slow and gradually increase the pace. You can check back for spelling list and announcements of upcoming events.
